Buy with clarity, not guesswork.

Learn how the most important grading details affect appearance and how to use the information shown on every PERY product page.

The 4Cs, made practical

There is no single "best" diamond. The right choice balances visible beauty, dimensions, grading and budget.

01

Carat weight

Carat measures weight: one carat equals 0.20 grams. It does not describe visible diameter by itself, so compare the listed measurements as well as carat.

Compare: carat + measurements
02

Color grade

The scale begins at D. D, E and F are considered colorless and are chosen for a bright, icy appearance, especially in white metal settings.

PERY focus: D-F colorless
03

Clarity grade

Clarity describes inclusions and surface features under magnification. Read the IGI report and inspect the exact-stone 360 view rather than relying on the grade alone.

Verify: report + 360 view
04

Cut quality

For round diamonds, cut quality has the greatest direct influence on brightness, fire and sparkle. Proportions, polish and symmetry all contribute to visual performance.

Prioritize: Ideal or Excellent
How to prioritize

Start with what you will actually see.

1

Choose cut first

A well-cut round diamond returns more light and can look more lively than a heavier stone with weaker proportions.

2

Balance size and spread

Use millimeter measurements to compare how two diamonds of similar carat weight may face up differently.

3

Confirm the exact stone

Match the listing to the IGI number, then review 360 media, fluorescence, polish, symmetry, table and depth.

Independent verification

Always open the IGI report.

The report confirms the certificate number, carat, color, clarity, measurements, growth method and other grading details for that exact diamond.
